Peter Tham MBA (Victoria), FCCA (UK), CA(M)
My name is Peter Tham and I am a Fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. I have over 25 years of working experience in finance and administration, accounts shared services as well as in MIS project implementation in a number of multinational companies such as Gardenia, TNT Logistics, F&N Coca-Cola and Kellogg’s.
I came from a very poor family. My father passed away, penniless, when I was just three years old, leaving behind a housewife with one child, me. Struggling against overwhelming difficulties, my mother brought me up to where I am today, where I can leave behind my employment as a senior corporate executive to do what I love, teaching and coaching and help people invest their money.
The turning point of my life came when my mother had to turn down a wedding invitation from a close friend because she could not afford the wedding gift. At that point, at age 7, I vowed that I would do whatever it takes so that my mother would never ever be embarrassed like that again. I decided I would devote my life to mastering my financial destiny, and to teach others how to do so as well. The journey to financial freedom was fraught with many challenges but it was those same challenges that moulded me to be the person I am today.
I passionately believe in helping people develop to their fullest potential, both in their careers and personal lives. My interest in personal development has led me to graduate as a Certified DISC Behavioural Consultant by The Institute of Motivational Living America and Institute of Lifeskills Enrichment Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), and I am also a certified NLP Practitioner with The National Federation of NeuroLinguistic Psychology USA. In addition I am a certified trainer, accredited by PSMB Malaysia and also a graduate of T. Harv Eker’s Train The Trainer Certification Programme.
